Ending term 3 in media arts has not been easy, Hell it wasn’t easy to start. During this period of time I have found my struggles in using the computer to articulate designs. Especially making curvy lines with the pen tool. Due to my absences in class it has made it hard for me to get a grip and become familiar with all the different tools in illustrator, not just that but accidentally deleting my work over and over again. Frustration pushed me not to give up though, all though I haven’t been using the computer as much as I would have liked to, I put forth all my effort into creating the mustangs logo, by hand. Using my own ways of creating multiple copies and hand colouring them. I’ve kept track of many of class conversations we’ve had, writing down key points in my book to try better understand everything, the way lines,shapes and colours cause a subconscious reaction in the viewers, whether that be drawing them in or making them pause and think for a moment about how a design was articulated. For me, one thing I have notice about design in the real world is big red logos tend to catch my eye and make me invest more time into observing what I’m looking at. Red being a big eye catcher I’ve notice this with the coke cola sign. As for logos with more of a loose font and bright colours makes me feel like more fun kind things. Out of everything I’ve obtain from term thing I think the best thing I’ve learned is the way that you craft your logo or design can give your audience some time to ponder about what you were trying to achieve and how you wanted to make them feel. Finally term 3 is over now and I’m beyond excited to dive into photoshop and really get a grip on how to work with the computers.
